On the 19th of July, 2024, the Saegis Undergraduate Research Symposium (SURS) convened under the theme “Navigating Opportunities and Challenges for a Sustainable Digital Era.” Organized in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) – UK, the symposium served as a dynamic platform for undergraduates to present their cutting-edge research and share innovative ideas that contribute to the evolving landscape of digital sustainability. The event was graced by Prof. Nalin Abeysekera, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka, who delivered a thought-provoking keynote address, emphasizing the critical role of youth in shaping a sustainable digital future. Dr. Lorna Thomas, the Director of Partnerships at CCCU, honoured the occasion as the Guest of Honour, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in academic research.
