On 18 December 2025, the Leo Club of Saegis Campus, in collaboration with the Noble Dawn Foundation, Australia, successfully carried out a meaningful community service initiative at Thammannapura Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura—a school identified as requiring educational support

Thammannapura Vidyalaya serves nearly 200 highly talented students from Grades 1 to 11, and the initiative was designed to positively contribute to their academic and extracurricular development. As part of this project, the Leo Club of Saegis Campus provided school exercise books for the entire student population to support their learning needs for the 2026 academic year. In addition, the Noble Dawn Foundation, under the leadership of Mr. Avinash Pieris, donated sports equipment aimed at nurturing and enhancing the students’ sporting talents.

The Leo Club of Saegis Campus is comprised of enthusiastic and socially responsible young leaders who are guided by their Staff Advisor, Senior Lecturer Ms. Paramitha Herath. The club consistently upholds the core value of giving back to society, with a strong commitment to serving the nation from a young age and ensuring that communities feel genuinely supported.

This initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of students, staff members, and members of the wider community, who placed their trust in the Leo Club of Saegis Campus to ensure that their donations reached those in need. The donation event was thoughtfully organized within the school premises, with the active support and leadership of the principal and staff of Thammannapura Vidyalaya, creating a warm and welcoming environment for the students.

The event was graced by the presence of Major General (Retired) Milinda Pieris, Vice Chancellor of Saegis Campus; Mr. Avinash Pieris, CEO of the Noble Dawn Foundation; Ms. Paramitha Herath, Staff Advisor of the Leo Club of Saegis Campus; along with members of the Leo Club.

This initiative has made a significant and meaningful impact on the educational journey of the students of Thammannapura Vidyalaya. Empowering young minds through education and opportunity remains the ultimate goal of the Leo Club of Saegis Campus, as it continues to serve communities with purpose, integrity, and compassion.
