Saegis Campus organized a Cocktail Workshop on 12 August 2026 for students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Degree Programme. The workshop gave students a chance to improve their practical knowledge and skills in mixology and beverage service.

Mr. Chathuranga Sandaruwan, Bar in Charge at Araliya Green Hills, Nuwara Eliya, conducted the workshop. He shared his industry knowledge and practical experience with the students. He also introduced them to professional practice in cocktail preparation and beverage service.

During the workshop, students learned about bar tools and equipment, cocktail preparation methods, and correct mixing techniques. They participated in practical demonstrations and hands-on activities. These activities helped them understand how to prepare and present cocktails in a professional setting.

The workshop also highlighted the importance of hygiene, safety, professional presentation, and responsible beverage service. These skills play an important role in food and beverage operations. They also help students prepare for careers in the hospitality industry.

The interactive session helped students connect their classroom learning with real-world practice. It also encouraged them to develop creativity, confidence, accuracy, and professionalism when preparing and presenting cocktails.

The workshop reflects Saegis Campus’s commitment to practical and industry-focused learning. By learning from experienced hospitality professionals, students can build their skills and gain a better understanding of industry standards and workplace expectations.

Through activities such as this, the Tourism and Hospitality Management Degree Programme continues to help students develop the practical skills, confidence, and industry awareness they need to build successful careers in the tourism and hospitality sector.
