NeuroSphere

“NeuroSphere,” held on October 25 2025, was an AI workshop designed to teach students the ethical, responsible, and productive use of AI tools while improving digital literacy and critical thinking. The event provided practical guidance for applying AI in research, assignments, and academic routines, strengthening Rotaract’s role in professional development. It also enhanced student engagement and provided organisers with valuable experience in planning, coordination, and leadership. Supported by funds from earlier stalls, the workshop promoted responsible AI use and meaningful skill development on campus.

Installation Ceremony

The Rotaract Club of Saegis Campus Installation Ceremony 2025/26, held on October 4 2025, formally inducted the new President, Board of Directors, and members, marking the start of a new leadership term. The event strengthened fellowship among Rotaractors, advisors, parents, and guests while promoting leadership development and teamwork. Held at the Saegis Campus Auditorium, the ceremony featured badge presentations, motivational speeches, and a fellowship session that fostered unity, built community relationships, and enhanced members’ personal and professional growth.

Synergize

“Synergize,” held on August 28 2025, was a new members’ program by the Membership Development Avenue of the Rotaract Club of Saegis Campus. Designed to build community, teamwork, and interpersonal connections, it served as a membership drive and onboarding event with no fundraising element. Participants learned about Rotaract’s mission, networked with existing members, and joined engaging activities. Featuring speeches, introductions, announcements, a club video, and a group photo, the event successfully created a warm and interactive atmosphere, strengthening future collaboration.

SAEGIS CAMPUS STRENGTHENS GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH VISIT FROM ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY - UK

Saegis Campus expanded its international presence on November 3rd, 2025, by hosting a distinguished delegation from Robert Gordon University (RGU) in the UK. The meeting, held in the Board Room, marked an important step in expanding global learning opportunities for students.   The discussion centered on developing new academic options, including the introduction of top-up degree programs. Both institutions considered collaborative initiatives aligned with current global industry needs, aiming to provide Saegis students with internationally recognised and affordable qualifications. The visit reaffirmed RGU’s commitment to building strong educational partnerships and supporting student mobility.   The RGU delegation included Ms Sarah Hillyear (Head of Partnerships) and Ms Donella Beaton (Vice Principal, Partnerships), both of whom expressed strong interest in the future of this collaboration.   Representing Saegis Campus was the senior leadership team led by Vice Chancellor Maj. Gen. Milinda Peiris (Retd) and Professor Prathiba Mahanamahewa, along with several key academic heads.

Convocation 2025

Saegis Campus proudly held its General Convocation 2025 on 20 November 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). The event celebrated the achievements of our graduates.   We were honoured to welcome our Distinguished Chief Guest, Professor Mohamed Abdel-Maguid, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education, Student Growth and Global Engagement), Canterbury Christ Church University.   The ceremony brought together members of the Governing Council, whose leadership continues to guide the strategic direction of Saegis Campus.
