Ms Nirikshani Mendis is a Lecturer in the Department of Management. She received her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Ruhuna and reading for a Master’s Degree in Economics at the University of Colombo.
She is the Programme Lead for the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree offered by Saegis Campus and approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE), recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka. She conducts lectures for economics modules for BTEC and SQA programmes.
Her main research interests are in the areas of finance and economics, the impact of free trade agreements, women empowerment and economic growth, environmental economics, and development policies and issues.
Ms Mendis joined Saegis Campus in 2021 March, after having two years of experience at the University of Ruhuna. Moreover, she has obtained corporate exposure from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (internship) and the International Trade Centre – UNDP (Internship).
